Another CDC scandal emerged in 2014 around a 2004 CDC study in which the data clearly showed that African-American children three years old and younger developed autism at a rate that was 336% of the general population after receiving the MMR vaccination. Responses of various races to various vaccines do appear to differ. The CDC data apparently was altered to remove evidence of association between MMR vaccination and autism, according to a public admission by Dr. William Thompson, a senior CDC researcher. This purposeful disinformation was revealed in 2014 by Dr. Thompson himself, who was part of the original study. He confessed, in a moment of conscience, that they had in fact changed the data to make it appear that there was no association.

The significance of this revelation is only now becoming clear. The chief CDC investigator, Frank DeStefano, denied that any of this was the case; however, after the actual data was released and examined, it was clearly seen that the rate of autism in African-American boys who received the MMR was indeed approximately 3.36 times as much as for other races.
This purposeful disinformation has massive implications. Based on this study that denied any “connection between the MMR vaccination and autism, there followed ninety-one studies and over 300 articles influenced by its conclusions. The implications here are that physicians in the public-health field, as a result of this purposely altered data, felt assured in their belief that there was no connection between MMR vaccinations and autism; they therefore disregarded statements by Dr. Wakefield and everyone else connecting vaccinations with autism.
