Last Friday morning Doyle had loaded our heavy suitcases into the car as we prepared to leave Sedona when he discovered our GPS HAD DIED! Panic! Sure, we’ve been to the Rental Car Return Center some 21 times over the past 8 years, BUT we’ve also gotten lost — despite the GPS. Being the navigator, I tried to google for directions on my phone. Whether it was the low battery or the mountains cutting off signal, it didn’t work. I searched and searched for a phone number to call – and was on the phone for 10 minutes without any answer before I lost the cell signal in the mountains. Same result with Doyle’s phone.
