Had one like that once, She squeezed herself into a small nook in the living room, between a built-in entertainment center and the outside wall. Stayed there for days. I put blankets on the floor and slept next to her until, after about a week, she came out and laid on the blanket next to me, skittishly at first, but after a few nights of this, she finally started coming out of her safe corner and actually came to sleep on the bed after about two weeks. After that it got easier by the day.

I got a little cat from Battersea Dog and Cats home...she had been a stray...she would not let any one else touch her but me...I had serious animal lovers visit my bungalow all thinking they would be the one to touch her...no one ever did..I often wondered about her background. It would be wonderful if dogs could talk enough to tell their stories, about why they are shy, fearful, even aggressive, so humans could know how to rectify, rehabilitate them to a happy ever after, but since they can't, we need dedicated people like Marika who love and search for the answers.

I wish I could get her but I'm forced to live in a broken down and rotten motor home without running water or heating and my Leela died on thanksgiving day because the vets wouldn't help her. I'm going to get revenge somehow.
