I am a big Alabama fan. I am glad Alabama won the SEC Championship. But what just happened in this game with Jalen Hurts is bigger than all of that. To watch a young man be replaced in the second half of last year’s National Championship, to losing his starting position this year, to having the opportunity to redshirt and not lose a year so he could transfer with two more years of eligibility, and to see him choose to stay and keep working and preparing without complaining and quitting is amazing. He prepared himself every day, and when his opportunity came he more than seized the moment. This is what I preach to my players every day.
