Something about this whole idea just screams train wreck. I also feel like this will screw up the origin stories in all their other cartoons. What I’d like to know is why did I watch one of the new episodes showing an anxious Velma wishing and dreaming of Shaggy asking her to prom? The Velma I knew growing up wouldn’t have wasted valuable time waiting on a guy to ask. She’d do the asking or feel perfectly fine going solo. And THIS is how you fail cartoons in 2017. But I wish there was one based on the real-time period they were created for an origin story.
