My husband is an officer in the Military so I do struggle with this as well. With that being said he will always help me if I ask or the need is there. He misses so much time at home that when he is home there is no need for him to do dishes or real cleaning inside the home. I want him to be able to relax and bond with our kids while at home. There are weeks and months throughout the year he is gone, and he will never get that time back with our 3 littles. So I believe each household is different and what works for your family may now work for another. I surely don’t mind cleaning my own house and do not need my husband to split chores or help to prove a point that I’m a strong woman. I know I am for devoting my life to staying at home with my children and being mom and dad when duty calls.
